Magnesium

My Dr recommended I start taking a Magnesium supplement, as a lot of people are deficient in it, which can cause anxiety and depression, among many other things.

I started it yesterday, and I’m hopeful that I will have something good to report within the next week or so. I’ve read it can be helpful nearly immediately, which would be wonderful. I’m hesitant to get my hopes too high, however, so we’ll see how it goes.

I’m starting on approximately 300mg of the Calm supplement (a powder that can be mixed in a drink). Yesterday, I noticed a slight calming effect a few hours after having taken it, and today I’ve managed significantly better than I have in the past few days. Whether that is placebo effect or it actually had an effect on my moods, I can’t say, but I should be able to give a more definitive answer soon.

I may start some other supplements, but I want to talk to my Dr first so as not to throw off my meds. If I start any other supplements, I will also write posts on those.

Has anyone tried Magnesium for these issues, or any other supplements? I’d be curious to hear whether anything has helped others!

Thanks for reading,

Emma
